The coastline of Gujarat is something that has boosted the industrial sector because most of the products, handicrafts and goods manufactured in this city are exported to different parts of the world via the port located at Porbandar.
It is evident that Gandhinagar does not have a very well developed port like that of Porbandar and therefore the waterways in Gandhinagar are not up to the mark. The city of Gandhinagar largely depends on its exports made from the port located in different areas in Gujarat. Exports from the city of Gandhinagar are in bulk but the main problem is the absence of a good port that can be used for major exports and even imports. The government of Gujarat is trying its level best in developing the trade and commerce sector of Gandhinagar so that the city can improvise on its living standards and at the same time it can also look forward to bringing about an increase in its growth rate.
