Mount AbuThis is a very popular tourist place in this area. Though the place is not in the state of Gujarat, but still people who generally visit Gandhinagar, visit this place as a nearby hill station. It is just 153 km away from Gandhinagar. You can go to mount Abu easily as there are good railway communications between other places to this place. The climate is hot during the summer months and cool during the winter months. Satpura HillsThough a little are away from the city of Gandhinagar, but if you have some time extra then make sure to visit this place. The place is about 313.4 km away from the city and has many forest areas in it. The hills are really vast and have covered four states namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Previously famous for Indian elephants and lions, this place is now a very important reserve forest for many endangered species like the royal Bengal tiger, gaur and some more. Suvali BeachThis beach is about 227.2 km from the city. The beach is near the city of Surat. There are excellent road transportations between Surat and Gandhinagar and thus you will not have much problem reaching the beach. The beach can also be a good picnic spot for a whole day. Mandvi BeachThe Mandvi beach is about 345.5 k away from Gandhinagar. This is one of the grandest beaches of the state of Gujarat where many film shootings have happened. Sarita UdyanAnother very famous park in this city, the Sarita udyan attracts a major crowd throughout the year. Actually the dinosaur park is a part of this udyan. It is in the sector 9 area along the bank of the river Sabarmati. You can reach to this place through every possible means on the road.
